Windsor Metal Finishing is located in Kissimmee, Florida, just south of Orlando and well situated for access to the interstate highway system.    The physical plant has a combined 31,000 sq. ft. of production and warehouse space under roof with an additional 14,000 sq. ft. of secured shipping docks and finished goods storage yards.
	The paint line at Windsor was specifically designed to handle a wide range of fabricated metal specialties including aluminum balcony railings, louvers, sun screens, geodesic space frames, walkway covers, roofing panels and automatic entranceways. Although the line is also designed to handle extrusions, this typically involves specialty finishing services that are not readily available from the mills direct. This includes extra long lengths up to ( 42'- 0" ), multi-color ( masking ) finishes and shapes with geometry that require a good deal of reinforced painting to ensure good coverage in hard to hit areas such as deep pockets and recesses.
	The product envelope for pretreating and painting is normally 8'- 0" high x 3'- 6" wide ( to accommodate curved railings and balcony returns ) and up to 42'- 0" long, but larger profiles may be possible with prior arrangement for specialty tooling. The normal maximum weight of any single component is 700 lb. but aluminum trellises up to 2000 lb. have been successfully painted and cured.
	Windsor is approved applicator of high performance Kynar 500* finishes manufactured by PPG, Morton International and Valspar Corporation, and applies their systems in accordance with AAMA Specification 2605, ( 1998 ) "Superior Performing Organic Coatings on Aluminum Extrusions and Panels". Thermosetting acrylics and thermally accelerated air dry systems such as aliphatic urethanes and Megaflon ( a 100% fluoropolymer resin manufactured by PPG-Keeler & Long ) are also available. Other specialty finishes include "faux patina" splatter coat finishes that can be developed to individual color requirements. Non exotic Kynar colors and mica finishes are color matched and blended in-house while exotic and metallic finishes are purchased from the paint companies direct.
	Regardless of the resin system specified, all aluminum products receive a chemical conversion coating prior to painting with Amorphous Chromium Phosphate ( also required by AAMA 2605 ) and in accordance with ASTM 449 Windsor's executive and production management have been in the "Kynar spray business" since the mid 1970's and have been involved with finishing prestigious projects from Alaska to the tropical climes of Hawaii or the desert kingdoms of Saudi Arabia The next time your architectural metal specialties call for high performance finishing why not fax us for a quotation, or if you are in the area drop by and visit our facility.
